Blood Type: O
Birthplace: Hsichih District, New Taipei City, Taiwan
Religion: Buddhist (mainly in the Mahayana traditions [Sanskrit: mahāyāna: महायान, "Great Vehicle") ], although I am also exposed myself to the Vajrayana and Theravada traditions [Pāli: theravāda (cf Sanskrit: स्थविरवाद sthaviravāda); literally, "the Teaching of the Elders", or "the Ancient Teaching"])
I have been practicing a strict Buddhist vegan diet since fall 2007.
Why do serious Mahayana Buddhists follow a strict vegan diet?

What I value most
Equality: I become a Mahayana Buddhist mainly because equality is highly valued in such Buddhism traditions. Equality is a notion that is supposed to be applicable to all sentient beings (一切有情眾生).
Liberty
Democracy
